Here is the XPS survey spectrum obtained from a Mn/Ni metal alloy sample using Al Kα  radiation. With assignment of binding energy of main peaks,  elemental abundanced on the surface can be identified (shown in figure). Measurement of the relative areas of the photoelectron peaks allows the composition of the sample to be determined and the results are as below:
